What? I mean, WHAT?!?!? Can we deconstruct this for just a minute?

Woman, pregnant with a child, with a husband soon to die, gives him the greatest gift, by allowing him to see the child before he dies. She asks her doctors if it is possible to induce labor early, and they accede to her wishes because they feel there is little risk, allowing her to provide some small amount of solace to her husband and perhaps soften the blow of his death for the whole family.

Your take: stupid mother and wife has a child torn out of her womb just to “please her man,” against all reason and logic. Oh, and because this happened in Texas, they are automatically idiots.

My take: this is a wonderful story and this man got a chance at one more moment of joy before his death thanks to a loving wife and excellent doctors.

While I will not claim some superior morality in this regard, your lack of empathy and compassion, along with bigotry and ignorance, mark you as someone lacking in even the most fundamental human character. God have mercy on your soul.

Grrrrrrr. This sets my teeth on edge, and makes me break my vow to be less judgmental.
